Thanks I will have to buy some SBELs off you at some point. He has been really responsible for his chicks, and who doesn't love a pet that provides breakfast?

I have a friend who is wanting Marans and SBELs if we try again and hatch any out. I told her your eggs are beautiful!

Hello Everyone...we are finally settling in from our move from Lebanon to Springfield....we like to have never got internet service out here and we are only 2 miles from city limits....it's all around us but just not our road...had to go with satellite...go figure...LOL Donna...praying for your family ....so sorry to hear about your Dad's neck....just know we are here if you need us and yall will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.... We are wanting to meet some more chicken friends (addicts) in the Springfield area or close by...we don't know many people around here...LOL Also if anyone close has a cabinet incubator for sale please message me...we sold ours before the move and are looking for another one... I may have to fire the little hovabator up...lol

I actually have them issue with internet in Springfield, I thought Hoods Branch was the only road that had to use satillite internet.

My 1 egg that continued to develop actually pipped today- through a vein! :'(
There was blood coming from the pip, but I can see the beak and its moving a little. I dunno if the little one will make it :/

I have friends on out Hugh Woodard road and Hoods branch and the ones on Hugh Woodard raise all kinds of fowl. Yea you don't get much out that way on either road haha..

Tell me about it...we couldn't even get dial up or anything...LOL Where at on Hugh Woodard? We are looking for some more chickens.....or chicks....close around....hatching eggs etc....would like to know what everyone has...alot of ours didn't survive the move....so we are trying to restock...LOL

Donna....the Blue Copper Maran I got from you is my best layer, now all of a sudden she's gone broody. I wasn't quite sure what was wrong because I didn't think Marans were a broody breed.....learn something new everyday......anyhow, found her the other day sitting on 8 eggs, none of them were hers. Keep picking her off the nesting box and putting her out in the run and she'll be good for an afternoon but now she's sleeping in the nesting box....any suggestions?

Marans are SERIOUS Broodies

Can you move her to a separate pen for a few days? ANYTHING dog crate? Try that for a few days.... move her back and forth till she breaks. The changes will make her give up.... usually
