city girls idea but i agree....i did learn some yesterday and remembering half would be good!!! 3hours at a Red Robin table....and i still wasn't ready to go if it wasn't for the time...great time girls!!!!

Oh, I am so glad you had a good time yesterday! I sure missed out on that one.

It is beautiful here this morning, a bit chilly bit so nice with no wind! Hope you all enjoy the weather out there before the wind kicks up this afternoon.

There are SQ silkie eggs bidding right now on the Buy-Sell page at around $130. !!!! They are gorgeous, though . . .



Does anyone know where to get good cider vinegar, the kind with the nice layer of sediment at the bottom? believer01, surely you must know where to get the good stuff!

Jenski, how did you just happen to know that I'd know where to find real vinegar? Oops - guess I'm pretty obvious, eh?

In the Boro go to Sunshine Nutrition on 231/Church St just south of Broad. Since it doesn't go bad, I buy the gallon size, it's cheaper. Also, I think some of the groceries carry it now.

I've been getting some poultry tinctures from an herbalist that makes them up just for chickens, and has done research/testing on her own flock first. Most are in alcohol, some in ACV.

Home at last to my people and my birdies...sounds like you all had a great time while I was not enjoying my tourist trap weekend...what a way to spend money and it took all weekend to see one darn chicken and then it was at put put golf

Ahh chick pictures..got to go out and see my babies.None of my Wheaten Ameraucana's hatched which I figured would happen.They were poorly packed and the air sacks were horrible.They grew something but nothing near a chick.Oh well more of my chicks go to lockdown tomorrow

Sure do wish I could have made it to the meet-up! Y'all are just too much fun! Did any feathered friends join you at the table? How many unfeathered ones showed up?

I've been letting the girls out whilst I work in the yard in the evenings. Yesterday a hawk flew over about 100' away and I screeched "haaaawwwwwk"! You shoulda seen them little legs a churning! I guess hawk is the same in chicken and people, eh? At least they listen to me.....and they were 70' from me at the time. No questions asked, just ran for the pen! That's better than my kiddo's used to do.

I need to bribe or hire somebody to come help me figure some things out! We gots stuff going on that I can't fix with what the books/websites suggest. I'm stumped and don't want my girls to suffer b/c of my ignorance. Seriously, I need some help. Name yer terms!

I think the worst of the weather has passed here now! Got my onions planted just in time. Can't let the girls out till we finish the fence though - they head straight for anything planted and scratch it up!
