They have it figured out. I gave my broody BCs 10 eggs. I dropped one and they ate one. The other 8 hatched. Unfortunately one of those died after hatching.

My pheonixes (on rare occasions it's higher or lower) do best it appears with 3-5 chicks. One mama usually was great with like 8+(the one that I had to move on due to her brooding preferences. Usually 1 or 2 chicks don't last long. I think mama just gives up at that point
 
As requested. Yes, they are under a red light, yes I know that makes it hard to see, no I don't really care. lol They were cold and I wasn't climbing behind the brooders to turn the lamps off.
