Mine never complained. I think they would rather have that than have it rain on their heads.

I have a short pen with a wire roof. They have a nice size house so raining in the run isn't a big deal to them but I'm tired of them tracking mud into the house and finding dirty eggs.
I thought about covering it with a tarp.

Yeah, for the most part. Apart from the early loss, I think they're still all doing good. I have a blue male that's staying and then the females all. The other silver male won't be staying though just because of my space needs.
