But.... incubator no2 is about to get started.

Production is dropping here.
I've just been messing with mostly trios this year. I did just set up a pen with 7 hens. Figured I'd give them a couple days to make sure they'd be laying fertile eggs.
First day 6 eggs. Second day 7 eggs. Planned on collecting after that. Next day 3 eggs then 2 today. SMDH

I have a question pardon the interruption. In Post #4 of this thread there are two pics. The first pic are what look like some Buff Leghorns. The second picture are some black ones with, um, silvery hackles. What do you call those, please? They are very pretty. If you tell me that I will probably go away and not bother you any more. Thank you.
