Chapter 31: Baby Sisters!
Today the Buffingtons were in the chicken tractor. TLG came running out with a plate of frozen fruit. YAY! Miss Hershey was given the first pickings, as she was still broody. Miss Hershey was snuggling on TLG's lap, when there was a huge crack of thunder. BOOM! The ground shook. Miss Hershey cowered against TLG, who was surprised. There wasn't even a single storm cloud in the sky. TWG came outside a few minutes later and asked what that was. while they were discussing this, TOLG came running out.
"The post office called, the chicks came," She said.
"YES!!" TLG yelled, putting Miss Hershey back in the chicken tractor. (There may have been a little shrieking and screaming too.) She rushed inside, and after a few minutes, TWG, TLG, and TOLG came rushing out of the house and jumped into the car.
Miss Hershey looked at her sisters, this meant only one thing. THEIR LITTLE SISTERS WERE COMING!
MEANWHILE:
TLG was so excited, she was jumping around in her seat, she couldn't believe it! New chicks! They had decided to stop quickly at their neibors house, to see if they knew what the boom was. As it turns out, it was a stick of dynamite in a quarry.
fifteen minutes later, TLG grinned as she saw 'The Liberty Man', who was a man who stood on the side of the road wearing a statue of liberty costume. She rolled down her window and waved wildly. Liberty man waved back, "WASSSSSUPPPPP?" he yelled, and TLG fell backwards laughing.
Soon, they were on their way back home, and TLG Had Opened the box and found seven healthy chicks... Wait, seven? They had ordered eight. She gently pushed away the chicks until she found something that worried her. There was a small partridge chick. It wasn't moving. She moved it slightly away from the side of the box. It peeped and moved away from her. PHEW! That chick had earned her name: Heidi (Get it, Hidey, only a more girly version?).
Soon, they saw the Liberty Man again. TLG waved, and the guy, recognizing her, yelled: "WASSSUPP GURL??!!" TLG started to laugh again. "That guy is awesome," She said.
