I just finished the siding on the North Side. Very tricky cutting the cement siding around the pop door, window and people door. Not to mention the angles! I stink at angles, I knew there was a reason I hated geometry!

So the siding is now DONE!!!!!

Now on to caulking and paint. (that I can do!) Then on to the worst part of the project..............roofing.

After the roof is done, then the outside will be complete! Then it's on to the fun stuff, the inside of the coop.

Love Love Love your coop. The Next one I build is gonna be that style. But May I make a Suggestion? Is that fence I see in The back the run? If So, I had One just like it and I had a dog wriggle/dig under. The solution I had was adding slabs of wood all along the Bottom from post to post. Unfortunitaly I lost 7 of 12 Chickens before I got my solution....

Hate to see anyone else go thru it.

The coop is looking great! I'm sure you're chomping at the bit to get done - especially with the end in sight....

Caulking is now done. You can't see the pics though, cuz it's not pretty. Gotta cover it with paint first.

Now on to primer and paint. I borrowed my step dad's paint sprayer, so hopefully it will go fast.

Lovely building job. DH and I just starting our coop, after LOADS of planning. I just wanted to mention (since I've visited California) that anybody who wants to replicate your design needs to change ONE thing, if they live where there's a lot of humidity. If I were to build your coop here, in Illinois I would NOT use OSB for the walls, because the weather here and humidity here will destroy it. If I panelled the outside, it would, in Illinois be an oven in the summer and a cold box in the winter.

HOWEVER, it is SO DRY in California, I am sure that your birds will be comfortable. It all works there, just wouldn't work here.
We have decided to build a "Floating" building that rests on cement blocks. We'll be using three, 8 ft. long, 4 inch x 6 inch supports, and they will be screwed to tongue-in-groove, then we'll build the walls on top of that, using plywood for the walls. I have an OSB door that I put on top replace the loft barn door that was a goner, and it's ripped and falling apart after 5 years. (I WILL take pictures of this and the rest to post on my page, I promise, this weekend!)
I LOVE how clean your lines are, and how the corners are all squared neatly!! You have great looking molding, too, even that around the pop-door. You have shown great attention to detail. Are you going to put in a vinyl floor?
