The Old Folks Home

Lol!

That's why I said their bite and wing beatings are good enough. Having no spurs is like having a bull with no horns, still a bull I guess but not as cool. Actually Diva being first to the predator and giving his life for them is not only romantic (lol) but hopefully it doesn't have a big appetite and the flock does get to live another day.

And thanks for complements on the roo, he's a very calm and friendly one too.

I had three Wellie roos.... All had that beautiful beautiful look.... yOu know they used a Wellie roo for the logo for Corn flakes for years.
I will have them again ... I found all things about their personalities excellent.

they are also considered a dual purpose breed... Hmmm. maybe I wont be doing Cornish cross....

Thanks chickadoodles, me and my wife spent almost a day trying to make life better for this chick but nothing worked then it tore one of its feet and it was bleeding so I decided to put it out of it's misery

Diva, I mainly asked about the spurs because I was hoping he might never develop them, I'm fine with him being spurless. Not that I'm afraid he'd attack us or anything, but he's a bit clumsy so he might hurt the girls when he's sowing his seed if he grows big spurs.

Rob, sorry for your loss, but probably the right decision.

It's bedtime for me now, good night everyone.

That is great SCG they are nice!

Okay I back off, was only kidding. Latestarter I wasn't jumping on You.

Another thread similar to this was ended because of too much innuendo of a certain nature, sometimes it starts creeping up into this thread. I thought I was giving the innuendo folks a gentle reminder. I LOVE THIS THREAD and will protect it like a broody hen.

Hi everyone it is nice to see people here of my age. I am a grandma and baby sitting my daughter's chicks while she is away. Never thought I would be grandma to 18 chicks. Love doing it but have Lost two and another sick. Now I am worried sick.
