The Old Folks Home

The sun is going down now... Slowly...

I told the kids that I was sorry, but a super cool blood moon eclipse, not to be repeated for 20 years... Still was NOT worth the entire family flying to the east coast.

The moon is pretty cool here in New Mexico. The sky is cloudless with limitless stars that really got bright once the moon toned down.

Lots of dogs barking in the neighborhood.

Despite a rough start getting to Maine I had a wonderful time visiting with SCG. We got to go to six lighthouses and Acadia. The weather really was wonderful just wish the leaves had been more colorful but it was still gorgeous up there. Loved living there as a kid and realized how much I miss the Maine coast. Just wish the winters weren't so awful. Anyway, here are a few pictures from our trip.

What an awesome trip.
I've always wanted to make it to Acadia NP
Now the moon is ...bright! They say it's the closest it's been to earth too, for..I can't remember how lone. ??

We missed the blood super moon and eclipse. It was cloudy all day and night. I looked out about 3 AM and the moon was out. I got dressed, went out and it was clouded over again.

For those (like me) who missed it.
