Good Morning all you old folks and you not so old folks that join us.
I overslept this morning. I usually do that after my back gets jerked back into shape. Just got up. I figure my back is shaking off the last of the inflammation and celebrating so I let it.
@penny1960 you will appreciate this. DH was shopping with me yesterday and looking at coffee when his eyes spied a can of gourmet Expresso. DH is a coffee fan, more so than I am and I love the stuff so it went into the cart. I'm working on my second cup and should be doing cartwheels in about 15 minutes.
@CapricornFarm, praying that your chicks are arriving today and are safe and sound. I would be girding myself for battle if it were chicks I had ordered. Here, our post office is ran by three delightful ladies who are responsible and care about their jobs. Our postal carrier is a doofus and I wouldn't trust him with a box of box of road kill yet alone a box of living chicks. I told DH that when I get around to ordering Fayoumis from Murray M I'll immediately go into the PO, take 6 cartons of eggs in for them and tell them to call me or email me the moment the chicks hit the door. I trust them. Every one in between....ummmm no.
@bruceha2000. Yeah. My SIL doesn't just rock the boat, she completely rolls it over. My minister back in IL once told me that she knows just how to punch my buttons and applies the skill regularly. My brother and I were close when we were growing up but he isolated himself from the family after he married her. Can't blame him for wanting a home and family of his own but as I told him once, it really Pee'd me off that he left me to take care of mom and dad alone when the time came. His attitude and hers too was 'we have a life' and they told me so.I told them I did too but it was placed on hold. So yeah, no love lost at all and I can easily live without the stress.
Plans for the day are to replace the damaged door on my coop and work on the rooster pen some more.
DH is asking me what I would like to have as a gift for our 13th wedding anniversary....gotta give that some thought.....

, never seems to be enough tracking to figure out where they were and for how long. It does seem reasonable that they SHOULD have procedures for live animals where they are required to not only scan in and out but like every 6 hours, or start of shift if they aren't moving. That way the recipient can light a fire under someone when they see the animals aren't moving. Especially things like newly hatched birds that have a limited ability to stay alive without food and water and are in a small box, unseen.
