The Old Folks Home

Have a few birds marinating. Culled my Ehal JG/NN cross hatch down to a trio. Screwed up, one with huge comb and wattles and as big as the cockerel I kept, had no testicles, was a pullet, ughh... :he

scg, if there is a sewing machine repair shop near you, check with them. The ones here usually have a pretty good selection of machines that are used, and they've gone through them to ensure they're fully functional. They're usually significantly less than a new one, and just as good as buying new. Most of them come with some type of limited warranty, usually 90 days.

Only 1.5 hour south of us ;) Kinda "worse", we'll be driving round trip to the Killington area Monday but won't have time to even swing by to shake hands :(

Made it to Sackville, NB Sunday. B&B is nice but we chose it specifically because their restaurant had lamb on the menu. I love lamb, can't get it at restaurants at home. No lamb available tonight and maybe not when we come back on Wed night :( Might choose to eat at a restaurant in town, much less money.

Mt. Allison tour started at 10 AM Monday, goes to 11:30. Then meet with registrar for 1/2 hour followed by the head of the languages program. DD wants to double major in Spanish and Japanese with thoughts toward teaching ESL and translating. After however much more time she deems necessary, we'll head to Halifax, it is only 2 hours driving. Yesterday was long, left at 10 AM got here about 7:20, lost an hour to the time zone. We'll get it back on Thursday though.

My garden has been eaten by caterpillars! The passion butterfly has eaten my purple passion fruit vine leaves to the core and they ate all the leaves off my bell pepper plant. Good thing we were going to pull the plants any ways. lol
Except for my passion fruit vine. Something even ate all the leaves off one of my elderberry bushes.

Well I finally got Verizon to cancel my contract and take the phone back.
After turning in tickets for tech support since the 2nd day I got the phone.
Their service could not give me service in my area and they even sent a tech guy out to look at the tower from where I live. There are just to many large trees in the way for me to get service. I told them with my heart problems I had to have a phone that worked!
So we will be looking for a phone for both of us soon.

@chickadoodles we are in the same boat with Verizon. We can get a good signal if we stand in a window or outside on our back porch but otherwise, It'll drop a call faster than a hot potato. Nor does it tell us when we have voice mails. They will just pile up in the Que until we check the box. We have Huges net and we are about ready to go with them for a land line phone and drop our cell phone service especially since we have our HAM licenses and radios. It's only 24.95 a month for the phone to be added to our internet. We'd be saving almost 40 dollars or more if we upgraded our phone.

Saw this on one of the news feeds this morning.

Farmer's Almanac prediction for this winter across the US.

In the mid 90s here today again with storms tonight... Teeth chattering almost sounds good right now. Mind you I said ALMOST.
