Okay, here's a sample everyone of the Olive Eggers I'll be creating this summer. They're extra special. . .
Araucana - tufted, rumpless, pea comb
X
Black Copper Marans - feather shanked, single comb
=
25% Feather-shanked, tufted, rumpless, peacomb
25% Feather-shanked, rumpless, peacomb

25% Feather-shanked, peacomb
As for color I have Wheaten, Blue Wheaten, and Black Copper Marans to go over Splash, Blue, BBR, Black, White, Blue Cuckoo, and Silver or Golden Duckwing Araucanas.
I explained this all to my mom, and she said she didn't care - Just as long as the egg is Olive colored.
Well I find it fascinating.
Since Wynette's Marans so far seem to have the best "red" in the egg, I'll be likely to focus on her birds, Black Copper, over the others - So that should make Olive Eggers who are Blue Copper, Blue, Black, White, BBR, and a possibly sex-linked blue diluted type Cuckoo.
