The Pink Rooster brought joy to nursing home residents

Awww, thank you for sharing your story and your method for coloring a chicken. My little boy is asking if we can color our Buff Orpington GREEN now!
Just as a heads up, you may want to use two packets of sugar free kool-aid on your buff instead of one because of how much darker their feathers are. And hey, you won't need to marinate your chicken! She'll be watermelon flavored! Just tell your son not to eat her no matter how fruity she may smell ;)

It lasted a bit over a month, but I still find a pink feather in the coop every now and then, so it must not be completely gone! Those pesky pink feathers must be well hidden under his wings!

What a great story and thanks for sharing!

I want to dye my dog Bandit. He is black and white so I could make him black and purple?

What a great idea! We visit a nursing home also and I've found that many of the residents had chickens at some point. We might do something similar...........minus the live rooster. :)
