Those are nice big chicks!

Beautiful!

I was just in the coop watching The Rock at the feeder and was shocked at how wide that guy is! I've never seen a cockerel that wide in my life...I guestimated at least 9-10 in. across his bum when he is bent over eating. The width of the legs at least 3 in. between. Right next to him were the wide load WR hens from Kathy and I couldn't help but get excited over what kind of chicks will be churning out of those wide hipped birds...can't wait to get it started. Has me jumpin' out of my skin!

You mean the ones I posted? If so, thanks. They seem to be quite robust.

I know the feeling.

Moved The Rock to his bachelor pen and kinda feel sorry for him in there all lonely. He's got his own dusting pan, a roost to himself, fresh water from a nipple bucket handy and a thick bed of leaves and hay on the floor but it don't mean a thing if ya don't have a woman...er..hen. He'll have plenty of lovin' stored up and waiting for when he gets to breed, so it will end well, at least.

True to the WR nature, he is totally calm when being handled...very docile towards humans.
