Having Brahma hens with that stern look I have come to prefer it lol. I bet he could give quite a flogging if he had a mind to.

There's a bantam down the street that takes to crowing at 2:00am some nights. Once he starts, then mine starts. Bastards!
He's calmed down to the point where he attempts about every two weeks. He's over due, and If I turn my back on him, he quickens his pace to catch to me. Stops dead (for now) when I turn to face himHaving Brahma hens with that stern look I have come to prefer it lol. I bet he could give quite a flogging if he had a mind to.
That's when mine Starts normally, unless THe bantam down the street has riled him up earlyMine start off about 4:30AM.
Would you say so, even with the wattle development? Otherwise.. woohoo! At the 6.5 week mark you have a pullet! Jakes comb is much bigger.
Since all my coops have at least one rooster, you can hear one crow, then the challenge begins.
Griffin, who is the alpha rooster in my rooster flock, seems to really like little Frosty, who's about 1/3 of his size..... I just don't understand lol, they weren't even raised together... and its weird too because Griffin is the "alpha" and I'm pretty sure Frosty is at the bottom of the pecking order lol. Griffin never fights or chases Frosty, and he seems to like hanging out with him...... Well thats my rooster story![]()
