I thought girl to until it started to get those brown feathers coming in the front. which idk if that has anything to do with that. and about 4 months.

Yes, but sizzles bred together are also sizzles.

But if mom was a partridge rock, like it was mentioned above then the chicks would be Silkie crosses. Maybe I'm getting the posts mixed up.....

oh, yeah didn't catch that, the dad was a silkie but if mom wasn't frizzled yeah it's only a silkie mix. Good call...

So your saying, smooth sizzles are not sizzles their silkie mixes?
If that's the case every time your bred for sizzles only half the chicks are actually sizzles.

A Sizzle is a Silkie bred to a Frizzle or two Sizzles bred together. They can be born with either smooth or frizzled feathers. If one parent is a Silkie and the other parent is a breed other than a Frizzle or Sizzle, then you have a Silkie mix. Right PaintedFeathers?
I currently have EE/Silkie crosses as well as a Smooth Sizzle and while they look similar, there are differences in the feathers if you feel them.
