~The Threat of The Shadows~ A Warrior Cat RP

Hickoryshade woke up and stretched, he began padding out of the den before noticing Mintpetal and Brightcloud's nests were both empty. Odd. They probably went on a walk or something, he shrugged, remembering how they had shared prey the day before. He finished walking out and gave his ruffled pelt a quick grooming.

"She's there. They have always been. Always, and always, and always. Since light first touched my eyes." Breezepaw murmured, her eyes darting around the cave quickly and resting on another spot. "But I thought...they always follow, and watch." She whispered to a nest beside Beetlepaw. "They all can see, can't they? Beetlepaw, you can see her, can't you? You're lying, right? Everyone can see them, surely."

Beetlepaw glanced at Winterfire, hoping the she-cat wasn't listening to her distraught sister. "Let's go, we'll talk about it outside." She promised as she stood up and trotted out of the medicine den, hoping to leave the camp unnoticed so she and her sister could speak privately.

Breezepaw frowned, but followed Beetlepaw anyway. Watching and watching and watching. She mused as she saw Wildpaw watch her and Beetlepaw cross the clearing and slip out of camp. Wonder what he wants?

Beetlepaw led her sister far from camp, she kept her eyes darting around and looked for other cats but her ears stayed pinned against her head, the whispers always got louder outside of camp and she refused to have a fit right now. When they got to what Beetlepaw deemed a reasonable distance, she turned to face Breezepaw "Sooo, what were you talking about in the medicine cat den?"

Breezepaw looked around, frowning. Her eyes lit up suddenly as she looked to her side, and she glanced a Beetlepaw expectantly. "Cats. Many of them. Not living, nor dead. Inside camp, outside, everywhere. Guardians of the ones with aching souls, it seems. Can you see him?" She indicated to the spot beside her.

Quailpaw decided that she wanted to send a bit more time in the forest, if only to get away from her clanmates. She crept further out, then froze, yet again, as she heard talking. She muttered something under her breath and prepared to go in the other direction. Unfortunately for her, her paw landed on a thorn concealed in the leaf litter and she pulled her paw back in surprise, stepping back on a crumbling leaf.

Beetlepaw looked nervous and like she was going to be sick, her gaze avoiding where her sister had mentioned the cat to be. "I don't want to see them Breezepaw, it's bad enough that when they talk to me I have seizures..." she said quietly, her tail trembled a bit just thinking about it.
