~The Threat of The Shadows~ A Warrior Cat RP

Beetlepaw shifted her paws, her claws fidgeting with a little leaf. "It's important though... we shouldn't have left camp, they always get more desperate when I leave camp." She replied quietly, her eyes watching the leaf in her claws tear into smaller pieces.
A cold wind raked the forest, chilling Breezepaw to the bone. The new-leaf sun was warm, but the winds were still brutal. She saw the golden tom flicker, before he stood, and trotted past Beetlepaw, and vanished with the wind, silver flames licking at his trail before they to vanished. "What do they want?" Was her only answer to her sister's reply, her eyes watching the young leaves dance in the wind. "Why do they speak to us?"

Beetlepaw ruffled her fur at the wind, giving a small shiver at the sudden chill. "They want to tell us things but ultimately I can't decipher why, they gather around me to quickly for me to remember what they say when they finally get me to listen." She sighed "Why do we have to deal with this, why only the both of us?" She asked more to herself then to Breezepaw.

Breezepaw frowned, watching the leaves musingly. "Maybe because of Mom." She offered quietly. "Maybe she's in trouble, and they are trying to warn us, but Pebblefire and the other's just do not seem to posess the patience or the skill to see them, so they come to us instead."

"Then we stop talking about them." Breezepaw stared at her sister oddly, as if the answer was obvious. "If it is bothering you, then we do not have to talk about it. Maybe some are rouges, but I do believe the rest are clan cat," she added absentmindedly.

Quailpaw padded away quietly, bored with watching the two apprentices. She crept into camp, heading toward the apprentice's den, and flicking her ears when she saw Sunpaw.

Beetlepaw wrinkled her muzzle at her suggestion, she always felt like they just weren't allowed to mention their mother in conversation, it felt wrong because of the secrecy around their unknown parent "We don't know anything about her and I think, at least for me, that they just want to talk about themselves or something bigger than us... besides if she was in trouble why would she bother us and how do we know she's not dead and her spirit is just ignoring us." She sighed "I just don't know how likely any conclusion with our mother is..."

"She's not dead." Breezepaw turned her narrowed gaze on her sister, sounding absolutely sure of herself. "She's out there, somewhere. She just cannot find us, she does not know who we are." She shrugged. "Who knows. I guess we will find out the answer from the spirits soon enough, if they really do need our help."

"I guess so..." Beetlepaw agreed quietly, if the spirits were desperate enough then they would find a way to speak to one of them. She thought of the first spirit she actually saw and shivered a bit, it had been very determined to see her but at the time she was far to young to remember what it had actually said.

"Come, now, let's go back to camp," Breezepaw meowed softly, and rose to her paws, gingerly shaking her pelt free of dried leaves and twigs. "We can talk more about it later. You do not seem to be comfortable with this conversation right now."

Beetlepaw sighed as she rose to her paws, arching her back a bit in a stretch. "Yeah, we better head back. We can talk more about it tomorrow if you want but maybe we should stay in camp so the spirits don't get too loud." She unpinned her ears, relieved that soon she could escape the loudness of the forest.
