WHOA! You must be in healthcare????? Yep, you'd wear yourself ragged exercising under those conditions. Rest and regroup. Good luck with those looooong shifts.

Yes, paramedic, some shifts are more exhausting then others and that one was a hard one (just physically not emotionally). I'm back at it today, so no exersice today (I never plan on exersice during my 24 hr shifts) and hoping this shift isn't as hard.

To those that have struggled over the past couple of days

This is a new day, don't beat yourselves up about what you can't change (yesterday) and move forward today.

Normal sat breakfast for me...
2 large fried eggs over easy
4pieces of toast smothered in butter

This morning
1 egg. No fat used
2pieces of German toast little butter

Wasn't bad but that was always my treat on sat mornings after cleaning some coops...

Karl?? are you fighting high colesterol<sp?? If you are... please check Dr. Oz's site for the show about metamucil.... It rids your body of fats.... lowers your cholesterol and sugar..... My sugar is down from 122... to 95<<<< I eat 2 eggs almost every day I boil them... add the kraft mayo with olive oil in it. I just couldn't make myself eat the no fat Helmens anymore... I use the multi grain low fat flat breads from Arnolds .. 100 calories to make a sandwich. They are great! Hears another thing to remember... Some serving sizes are like 1 tablespoon... Nobody says you have to use the full amount... Soo If directions say 1 tablespoon... I will only use 1 or 2 teaspoons... thus cutting my calorie in take.

I want to do my elliptical NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW...... but I find I 'feel' thinner is I do it in the evening after supper!!!!! So I will wait and try to keep busy...maybe I can do slow walking on the treadmill while I read in the meantime.

Thursday, I went to Crossfit and had a pretty good workout: 4 rounds: 100 meter run with a 20# medicine ball, 8 medicine ball jump complex, 16 double unders with the jump rope. Even though it took me about 13 minutes, I was huffing and puffing pretty good. Later that evening, I went to my fit club, where we busted out 45 minutes of Chalene Johnson's Turbo Fire. OMG! That was harder than I expected, a lot of cardio and choreography. She is amazing and the workout was really solid.

Friday, I found out that Crossfit has made me stronger, but not more flexible....I had a groupon to pole-dancing (recreational sport pole dancing, not stripping) and it was also tough, but so much more fun than Crossfit in the way that I felt like I was able to be more fluid in my movements.

I hope all of you are stepping outside of your comfort zones to make your goals this year of 2012! I am very happy when I compare myself this time last year to this time right now. My eating habits have improved, my goals more defined!
