The Welsummer Thread!!!!

WELSUMMER CLUB of the United Kingdom EGG STANDARD :
The Welsummer Club adheres to the Poultry Club Standard and scale of points for judging eggs. Size: Exhibition Welsummer eggs should be of good size
Colour: A rich, deep red-brown, as dark as possible. Some products are speckled and occasionally blotched. Glossy eggs are produced but the matt egg is the preferred.

They have egg photos and really dark eggs. The Dutch club preferred the splotchy or speckles though and didn't want to lose them while still getting dark eggsss..........

Someone even shipped me a Lavender one.
 
Yes I knew of the UK egg standards. I wish for a color chart! My brain farted!

Kim.......here's 2 of your babies. They are beautiful and feathering in dark so far. 8 weeks old. Not the best shots, just some candid ones today.
