Sorry to say that she is a leghorn. Her and her flock mates sure are cute though. Love the second picture where they are all just chillaxin'. What are the chooks that have the poof on the head and white mottled? They are super cute!

okay Pink, what are you seeing that tells you she is a leghorn? We just added light brown leghorns bantam size.

The earlobes are still white..and look at the feather pattern along her back and shoulders....it's off and not the same as a Welsummer. See how it kinda looks messy and darker here and there...its just not Welsummer. Can't explain it any better than that. Let me look for a Wellie pullet photo around the same age for ya. This could take a minute or 2..lol!

Babyrnlc~ How old is this pullet now?

A younger photo of my beloved #18 (RIP #18) slightly older than the pullet that baby is asking about.

Babynic, try and get some more pictures, back, tail, neck, chest to aid in making an exact determination. Here is a picture of one of my hens

3 months.

She is hatchery quality. (Came from Ideal) On the breed/gender forum they said there are rumors that Ideal bread in leghorns with their welsummers to increase production so that some come out as white egg layers. Either way, she is either a leghorn or a white egg laying welsummer, which the only reason we got her was for dark eggs.

We have a friend that is starting a flock and I have a BO chick, a White Leghorn, an EE and then her that we are going to give them. they want lots of eggs, these girls should provide that!

I just didnt want to give her away and then her ears turn red and her be a dark egg layer lol. They are still not finished with their coop, maybe she will start laying before we give her away and I will know for sure lol

Anyone within an hour from Tulsa, Ok that has some Welsummer pullets?

We want two dark egg laying pullets. Either Marans or Welsummers, or anything with those chocolate eggs. We arent going to breed (arent going to get a rooster, we are in the middle of the city!), so it doesnt matter if they have disqualifying features (as long as they still lay dark eggs lol)

I think that by 3 months her earlobes would be red, from the picture her's look pretty white. You might want to check on the Welsummer club website to see if anyone is close to you.
