That is correct it works the same way on silvers too.I would love to have some GLW females in my flock... I thought I read that I could get some GLW pullets by crossing a GLW roo with a SLW hen. Is that right?

You might be able to order them from Murray Mcmurray, but i would call them to find out.Does anyone know where I can order Silver Laced Wyandotte hatching eggs in Canada (specifically BC/Vancouver Island)? I am also looking for Light Brahmas and Barnvelders. Thanks!
sorry to hear of your lose..is it real hot there now ..maybe heat killed it ..i no mine have a tough time of it with the heat here at times..i no it stinks after you put so much time and effort to make sure they are safe..I came home from work the other day to find my 8 weeks old SLW dead. No signs of injury of symptoms of illness. All my other birds are ok though even my GLW.

Its hot but this summer has been a little milder than most. Humidity is very high always. Could have been the culprit but not sure my SLW was the biggest of all my chicks but my GLW(whose my favorite) is fine. Oh well I'll be replacing her this weekend and might come home with a few extras!Sorry for your losssince your in Florida maybe it was the high humidity that killed your girl.![]()
