So ...I have only ever hatched chickens 2 times ( Lost count of how many ducks I have hatched though) ...never had a broody - and my humor is a little off tonight. I was imagining "lockdown" under a broody. Moving the feed and water up real close and supergluing a few evenly placed feathers to the ground to keep her in place...Blindfold her and tell her to stop peeking...

I dont know if I could handle waiting for a broody to get off the nest with her little ones for the first time. I am so used to being able to sit and watch them unzip- or even let my daughter hold an egg in here hand as the little one actually pushes out.
