I see, nothing specific to post on S510, not surprised.
But, I've a few minutes, so I'll play (will be brief as don't want to hijack, will come back to the subject at hand, however).
Blackwater is now Xe Services LLC. The `former' owners also run a few smaller subsidiaries. They'll end up selling out completely just like the Pinkerton Agency did (now owned by a Swedish Firm). As a matter of fact, the more general subject is an area of concern for all Americans: http://www.jackdavis.org/articles/selling.asp Monsanto, for instance, recently divested itself of its Sunflower line to a Swiss firm: http://www.syngenta.com/global/corporate/en/news-center/news-releases/Pages/en-101213.aspx (Syngenta is the World's largest producer of Ag Chemicals).
Monsanto is a hard-edged Corp. They don't muck about and, like most Corp.s, oversell on the advertising (that's capitalism for you when quarterly earnings rule the roost). Their patent on GE Soybeans (Roundup Ready) expires in 2014. They are pushing their new `brand' and, of course, overstating the yields. Farmers, unless convinced, will soon be able to use Generic Roundup Ready Soybeans and not pay Monsanto the fee per acre. Keep your eye on this case (quote below): http://www.agpolicy.org/weekpdf/537.pdf

As is well known in farming circles, Monsanto is in the process of rolling out their Roundup Ready 2 Yield soybean varieties. Monsanto's marketing task is to persuade farmers to switch from planting soybean varieties using the original Roundup Ready technology a technology that farmers will be able to access for free after its patent expires in 2014 to the new version that would require continued payment of a fee to Monsanto.
Will farmers continue to grow the generic RUR soybeans, in greater numbers? I'm betting so.
Now, I've been listening to every sort of conspiracy theory since the late `50's (as a little kid in SO.Cal). There was a fellow broadcasting on Shortwave from Northern Mexico (so he said). He went on and on about how the Red Chinese were landing troops, from submarines, onto the shores of Baja, Mexico. Once they had enough troops assembled they'd march North to pillage the Greater Southwest. Of course, at the ht. of the Cold War, every sort of marvel was conjured and summoned up. I'm highly skeptical of EVERYTHING. When I visit a website that goes on about Blackwater being hired by Monsanto (actually a stand-alone set up by a former owner - basically a detective agency) and then making a claim that because the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation bought half-a-million shares of Monsanto and that Bill will somehow use the windows operating system to turn us into zombies (that's the gist off it), scuse me while I look over the border for the Chinese... Same thing with Monsanto Vs. Scheimser (I actually read the Canadian Federal Court transcripts).
While one working the voodoo angle, one will probably end up being shot to death as one reaches for one's gun because the swat team is executing a no-knock search warrant on the wrong address. Hunting around in a fury of skill to confiscate a weed that has never, otherwise, resulted in a single death. Or, the gov. decides to actually suppress otherwise legal crops by using the already promulgated regs. based on drug-war Supreme Court decisions. Sorry, I'll spend my time concerning myself with the facts in order to work towards changing the pertinent laws.
