All I have is tylan 50 and my leftover amoxicillin. Why does this happen on a holiday ugh

I think if you don't have anything except tylan I will go with tylan till u can have baytril

Can't you get medicine from a store near u like I got here ?
Do u need prescription?

I usually have a stock always in my home as here in India it's very easy to buy

Its illegal here to give chickens antibiotics. I found a bottle of tylan online for $70 and thats what I have. It expired in February. I'm getting conflicting advice whether to amox or to tylan. I put a post on facebook asking around for Baytril

Tylan will not treat E. coli or pseudomonas. Tylan is for treating gram positive bacteria and if she has an infection, it is almost certainly a gram negative infection, for which something like Baytril is used.

1 week to arrive. Waiting on a response on Facebook.

Over here too. Not sure if vet could prescribe.
Some vets will, some won't.

It's tricky... Baytril is actually banned for use in poultry, but some vets still prescribe it. If you find a vet that won't prescribe it there are other drugs that might work as well. Such drugs might be Amikacin or SMZ/TMP, or a combination of drugs.
