had to visit a neighbor about a quarter mile up the road...
ME: "Please feed your birds"
Them: "why?"
Me: "Clearly, they are very hungry. they are at my house begging for food"

followed by an explanation of contaminating my flocks yard with their poop being an undesirable factor...
