That is my current treat call. LOL. They all come running like you wouldn't believe. I don't know how I came up with that. It is rather embarrassing but I know y'all understand.

Only on BYC would anyone understand.

I may delete this post eventually to reduce my embarrassment.

Seriously, you should! I am always amazed and encouraged by the wonderful chicken lovers on this forum. I visit here every day since we got our chicks six months ago and have had the best time laughing (and crying) along with all of the people who frequent this forum. It's the best!

Seriously, you should! I am always amazed and encouraged by the wonderful chicken lovers on this forum. I visit here every day since we got our chicks six months ago and have had the best time laughing (and crying) along with all of the people who frequent this forum. It's the best!  

Definitely don't delete it. It made me smile v and think I need a better call than my standard here chook chook chook. I met a wonderful young couple recently and he had read about noises chickens make and saw/heard what nose they made when a Hawk comes around so now he mimics it and puts then all to bed with a whistle. Thanks for the inspiration to break my mild.

eating dinner at a family get together and throwing the scrapes from cooking away away and me saying don't throw that away I want it loudly in ear shot of everyone there

smelling different feeds and buying the feed that smells the best

going to the feed store for feed then buying a bunch of extras and using the excuse its essential for raising chickens

Haha!! My treat call is a tsk tsk and sort of close related sound they will come flooding... My Mom also always brings them out food and they will come running to her at the sound of her voice. XD

You want embarrassing. I'll give you embarrassing.

My few hens live in a predator proof run all day long and when I get home from work, I let them out into my garden to run around and do some damage. When it's time to go back into the safety of their run, I sing All The Single Ladies and they know that garden time is over and they follow me like the Pied Piper back into their run.

Lord only knows what the neighbors think.
