They grow on you. They really do. All of mine have been extremely friendly. Ugly-cute eventually just becomes cute.

We don't get much of a winter here but I know people keep them in colder parts of the world.
Mine have always tucked their necks in at night whether its cool or not. I only have one left at this point. She is around 5 or 6 years old.
