This is an odd one about poop...

Well, one of my Sicilian Buttercup pullets hopped up on my shoulder a few minutes ago, she cocked her head at me, and BAM!!!
SHE ATE THE SAPPHIRE STUD OFF MY NOSE PIERCING
I've got her in a cage.....and now I'm collecting her poop
So!
It's the top part of an internally threaded barbell. Essentially a round, surgical steel ball.

-How long will it take to go through her system?
-Will it go through her system?
-Am I absolutely crazy??

One of my girls ate an earring over a year ago. I never got it back. Fortunately, no ill effects .
From what I read at the time, gemstones generally do stay in the system as grit while metal parts get smashed to dust. Sigh, I now make sure to always remove my earrings before visiting the chickens because the same bird tried to grab another earring the one time I forgot
