Yes! Its a different strain. Its the big English type, with the upright posture and weighing in at 12-16 lbs!


They'll be monsters. I may have to make a new pen!!!

CG: They are due Friday. One is completely in the air cell and working on pipping. The other 3.... nothin'. Very little movement coming from one. None from the other 2. I have a bad feeling. Like on page 5-20ish of the thread.

and my broody hen is sittin tight
cacklin at the cats if she get too close.

when i came home i found a chicken trying to nest in a bucket with a little chaft in it. she could barely get out of it.

I saw that auction. They are huge, look like geese!

I hope they hatch. She said she sent 14 last time, hope i get that many. I read her ratings, and contacted an egg buyer from early january, and they said about 70% hatched......

I think I'd rather have big ducks then small geese, geese bite and smack me with their wings in the springtime!

no they are just mad bcuz usually at night they sleep in that hole. or close 2 it.
and all week she has been sittin tight so they had to find new spots to sleep.


and i have bantam chickns so it wouldnt get stuck .
but your right that would be funny

and i would have but she jumped out when i went to see why the rooster was walkign around the bucket
