Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

Cigar hygrometers can also be very good, as it is critical to maintain 70/70 climate in cigar storage boxes for optimum freshness.

Here's a new pic of my babies. It's hard to get a good pic of the calls, the goslings are camera hogs. The biggest one is Huey, who was hatched last Friday. The smaller light one's are Dewey and Louie. The bigger one and thing one and thing tow were hatched last saturday. Louie hatched sunday I think.

Great pics everyone! I wish SM would come back and talk to us!

I'm going to PetCo today to see what they have. Have to get hubby something to wear tonight to some dress up awards thing for work. So I'm gonna be out anyway.

I just bought a new Taylor 1523 Indoor/outdoor thermometer hygrometer from Amazon for $10.23 shipping included. Great deal, works great.

Im a farm kid (very many many animals) and then I studied pre-med at ESU before my fist husbanad got sick. I had once semester to go, when I had to go take care of him the last 3 years. Our youngest was only 1 when he had to leave us. I wanted to be a vet or MD, but now I just bake cakes, cook for my kids school, and keep farm fowl. (oh, and I remarried last year-the girls love him lots)

(Just thought I'd share that I guess)

Don't give up, SM. Really. If your bator was dirty at all, bacteria could have done it. You want me to send you some duck babies when the ones hatch at my kids school?? (I'm giving them all eggs for thier classroom-I get the babies back)

thhe magpie looking at the camera is going to be a ham.
you can alreadyy see it. lol.
thats what a couple of mine do to the camera.
and maybe with the babies being with the geese (which btw did you name them?) they wont go thru a bad humans are murders phase.

QJ, FYI, the glass aquarium thermometers at Petco work well. Don't bother with the strips or low-end terrarium gauges. They are junk.

I'm going to take the Taylor thermometer as a sign, Since that's my first last name. LOL. I'll look it up on Amazon.

Isn't it funny how life works out? Or sometimes not funny.

Ok peeps. I'm pretty excited. I am preparing to take a shower... BY MYSELF. These moments are rare and I am going to make sure it's a really loooooong one.

Julie smells what I'm steppin' in.

LIfe, yeah funny place.

If not fot the dark, the light would seem dim. IF not for the sun, the moon would seem insignificant in its delicate beauty. Without a few lost birds, we would not know the blessing of the survivors.

Hurts anyway, though, huh.
