She knows how to get in. They have one like that and a bigger one that she got in and out of ok. She just hasn't wanted to swim for awhile now, which is why I gave up filling mine up. She is a wuss and doesn't want to get cold I think, lol. Much more fun to dig holes in the mud.

Thanks Marty for the Quail egg pic... So both of those are Jumbo right? Do you have regular adult coturnix as well as the adult jumbos?

Well TODAY I have 11 Cochin in LD & 2 Assorted Mystery eggs!

Hatching vibes.....


Woke up this morning to my hubby making Fresh Coffee,
Had the BBQ already going with Charcoal Briquettes & Apple Wood Chips ~ smoked a pound of bacon BEFORE he put it on the stove,
Fresh Eggs CheekO gave me last week, & Texas Toast

(I should weigh 500 pounds by now!)

Mmmmm..... Life is good

I just open the hatcher to find QUAIL every where there so many I can't count them all tell I take them out

now to find a place to put them all

My thoughts exactly. We had a piglet last year. I named him bacon, lol. Stupid neighbors called animal control who told us since we didn't have a proper pen and locked gate built for him yet he had to go, so I traded him for chickens. Eggs taste so much better with bacon though.

Anything is better with bacon.

I did not think this out all the way first.............

Mine are finally starting to lay again. I turned off their light a month ago to give them a break until spring, but they are picking back up again already. I want to get some a & m to add in some new bigger blood and that way I can hatch tuxedos too (I have tibetans). Maybe I should look for some for the easter hatch.
