Is the poop from this bird normal?

It is making a weird peeping sound.. kind of lower range and maybe hoarse? Hard to say though since they are just getting their voices. It will walk if made to move, but just wants to lay down and do nothing even when the others are running crazy for treats around him.

I am sorry but at a week old, what your doing is what I would be doing.....

I don't know. I have not seen him poop and I do not have him isolated from the rest.

Is he having any issues with his neck or being flipped over?

His respiration seems normal. He is responsive and eyes are clear. But it is definitely not feeling well and makes this puppy sounding whimper. FYI, it is the one my best friend named Hitler. It is weird because he was running around like a fiend for treats only a few hours ago too.

Nothing like wry neck or stargazing or anything neurological appearing. Just very lethargic, whimpering and off his food.

That's a good sign. I think your doing everything you possibly could do.

I am worried though... because a prey animal does not show he is sick unless it is really bad.... and for a duck to not want kale is very concerning to me!

Ducklings are quite the fighters. However, just as a precaution if this continues for awhile I'd suggest separating it from the others incase it is a transmittable disease.

OK. It's late and past my bedtime. So, hubby will keep an eye on it and will let me know if it takes a turn for the worse. Otherwise, fingers crossed it will be ok when I check on him first thing in the morning.
