I know, but it still amazes me! Both still trying to make it. I went ahead and propped both eggs up just a teeny bit and am still monitoring closely.

The two eggs are acting like they are going through the external pip process. The one I pipped this morning is trying to bang at the shell and peeping along. I can see the beak popping in and out of internal membrane. I'm still not 100% sure where the beak is on the one I pipped last night, but it is still trying to move and pip too.

At least the other eggs are starting to externally pip, one by one, right on the sweet spot.

Yeah, he had dubbed them Bessemer. There (ather confusingly) is a new Bessemer project that I am going to be taking part in, crossing BOs, Runners and Rouen to get a WBB breed, which we will name Bessemer, since that's a great name (but really shouldn't be applied to the aforementioned ducks). The last I saw of DaBh was a thread about his underpants. He apparently got suspended for that *facepalm*...

Ah, I wondered what had happened to DaBH. Interesting that what he was calling Bessemers are really just JBOs. We don't have JBOs here.

Love that blue Mallard. We call that Blue Fawn. Mallard with one dose of Blue.

Here are a couple of photos of my Pineapple Upside Down Cake (thanks Marty for the recipe!!!!). I could have used more pineapple - will next time.

Just sit tight for now. Duck eggs are tough to break... Fingers are crossed for these guys. Really glad that your others are doing all the right things re. pipping.

The blood in the egg I pipped this morning has receded so that I can see the beak clearly... it is black/yellow. I also caught a glimmer of its eye looking at me. It is pretty twisted inside egg, but sure is fighting hard to get out. The other egg is still working on having blood recede enough to be 100% certain of where beak is located. But both are still going strong.

70 looks super yummy, hope you enjoyed it.

Iain, just read everything and responded. You are doing good, if the blood is gone you can help more now to give the duckling it's head free. Qtips, warm water and go slow, allow which you know already.

Have three new Sebastopols out today. 2 moved to the brooder house, 1 is inside for overnight. Dropped off 50 ducklings to the feed store.
