Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

I took a pic of the eggs... but it may weird some people out to post it.... how do I post a spoiler alert?... assume I can put the pic there?

Yeah, he is lonely. Hubby is home today with some kind of man flu so I set the brooder up by the bed so they could keep eachother company. But what Han really wants is another chicken. I'd buy him a friend except Han is meant to be going to live with his real owner. Who I have not heard from since Han hatched (despite several texts enquiring as to the date and time of Han's transfer to his true home). So that is kinda annoying.

The real question is how does it taste?

Ah, I wondered what had happened to DaBH. Interesting that what he was calling Bessemers are really just JBOs. We don't have JBOs here.

Love that blue Mallard. We call that Blue Fawn. Mallard with one dose of Blue.

Here are a couple of photos of my Pineapple Upside Down Cake (thanks Marty for the recipe!!!!). I could have used more pineapple - will next time.

Ok, thanks! Here it is. I pipped the one on the right almost 12 hours ago. This is the one I can see into clearly. The yellow in middle of hole is its beak. The one on the left I pipped almost 23 hours ago. I "think" its beak is the yellow spot just below point on shell in the top left corner. This one I worry about needing to free beak.

Ian - Glad the babies are still after it! They'll be here soon Mama!

Lucky is doing great. He really doesn this I'm mama, and spends all his spare time by my neck. DH jokes he's gonna grow up and be a parrot. Likes to just get tangled in my hair, and stare up at me. Follow my stocking feet around the house, peeping happily. Too funny. I've had lots of baby ducks, but never just one. He doesn't like the baby chicks, they peck him. He doesn't like to be alone, but since he can't come to work he has to sit in ducky jail. LOL

Celtic - Glad your babies are doing good, and I bet the local store loves selling your baby ducks. I might try that idea.

I'm glad you put the pictures up... they are very informative for us newbies. My fingers are crossed for you!! Good luck.

Tasted fantastic. We ate half of it, LOL. Will definitely be making that recipe again. Maybe adding cherries. The caramelly top on it was fab. I wasn't careful enough when I put the batter in though - it pushed the caramel to the sides. Thanks so much for the recipe.
