Well...they can potty train little pigs, why not a turkey??I know birds can't be potty trained.... I know it's not possible.... but this turkey is making me question it. This birds has YET to poop on me. I have to handle her quite a bit. Now here's the strange thing. She was doing fine in here excerciser. Then she randomly starts sqawking. I get her out of it and set her in her other cage and she instantly pooped. Is this well normal?
I was watching the vent sexing on Metzer's and he showed ducklings that were down sexed. Don't recall what they were, though. Watch the video and see if that's what you're looking for.Better news: I have two new Silver Applewoods in the brooder.![]()
Someone called my hubby looking for a specific duck. They are sexlinked by down color. One gender is yellow at hatch, the other brown or black. She said her dad had a friend who had them. Whatever they are. Ideas?![]()
Ok...I was confused about the tracking thing...was a duh moment, lol. Glad they are almost there!Hey quackers, so sorry about your silkie duckling! Um,.. What's a silver applewood?
Dutch, sent out this morning. She didn't want to risk sending them last week with the memorial holiday weekend. I am really hoping that they get here tomorrow, and it would be less than 24 hours in transit.

Zebra eggs next springMarty, nice to see you on here again. Hope you are taking time to just sit and enjoy the goslings. They are built in stress reducers.
Dutch did you get any of that rough weather?
Kevin, when will you have zebra hatching eggs?![]()
Saw water buffalo and zedonks listed on CL here recently. I think I can put the youngest goslings back out today. Poor things got stuck inside yesterday with the rains threatening.
Thank you for posting i was just wondering how things were going, now I know... How precious and Congrats!! Any signs of more hatching?
I live in Riverton, Wyoming. I love it up here! Although the weather is still trying to decide if it's going to get warm or stay cold, lol. Which is bad for us because we are trying to get in a big hurry to plant the garden.Rachel, YAY!!!!!! Congrats!!!!!!!
Where in Wyo are you? I'm in Park City, Utah... 60 miles from Evanston. My post office is in Coalville... so I know exactly what you mean. The ladies there are the best! They are trying to pull strings to allow me to get my babies from SLC sort facility if they show up there on tracking this afternoon, so I do not have to wait until 7am tomorrow.
