Sorry about your ferret Kev. I've had several, they are special little things. I won't get another because of all the health issues though, too heartbreaking.

How old was he? Was it adrenal problems? My oldest lived to be 7, the others only 2-3 years.

Aww, poor guy. I forgot about insulinoma. I wish there were more ferret breeders than pretty much just marshall farms. It's sad that they breed 99% of the ferrets and that most have short lifespans because of these things. I guess more money for them this way.

Yes it's truly sad how many health issues are common in Marshall Ferrets. I heard ferrets imported from Europe are so much healthier it's insane. Too bad it's so costly to import animals because adding some healthy specimens into US breeding populations would defiantly be beneficial.

Hey guys, sorry to be so random, but I just candled a couple of my duck eggs this evening. Yesterday I could see lots of veins and healthy looking tiny embryos. Tonight I see no veins at all, and just like a little blob that may or may not be an embryo. They're day six. Is this normal, or did I just kill all my eggs since last night somehow? I'm really worried that I killed them. They seemed to be doing so well :( I can try to get a picture but I don't know how helpful it would be...
