Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

Oh, dear. No, it is not normal for the veins to disappear. Was your temperature off? At day 6, you'd only just be starting to see veins. Its possible you should try again tonight, in full dark, and maybe you can see more. Sometimes its hard to see during the day. Check again....

It is full dark here :) I could REALLY see the veins on these guys yesterday. Here's a bad picture of one of the eggs but you get the idea:

Here's a picture of one of the the three 'good' eggs - again, it's pretty bad, but you can still see veins. These guys were coming along slower than all the ones that look bad now:

Edited to add, the temp was not off as far as I know, but the person who was supposed to do the midday turn for me yesterday forgot and they went a full 14 hours with no turn. Not sure that that would really kill them, but that's all I can think of.

Aw darn, so you think they quit based on the pictures? I wish I knew what caused it. Although being that they were shipped, I guess I can't really be too sad. I half expected this type of thing.
Being shipped might be the reason. Give them a few more days at least, just in case. It won't hurt anything, and I could be wrong. Usually if the veins go the embryos gone though.

I'm with julie, pic 1 and 2 look lost, but 3 is alive. Usually the blood circle means aborted. Too bad, but I've had this happen at all stages with shipped eggs. I don't think half a day not turning would do it, either.
