I have more due the next couple of days, EE's due Sunday, serama's being set tonight or tomorrow, and call's due in about 3 weeks too. It was too hot all summer to hatch so now I am making up for it, lol.
They are so adorable

awesome Julie! I moved ( had sons move) my bator to the shed so we can get it finished and stained. I'm refusing to bring it back in till close to Jan.

Precious!

Julie, love the babies!

I havn't moved my bators, all three sit in my dressing room/closet, making me think I ought to be hatching something. Then, I think well, I can't just hatch 6, so I'd better plan on at least 3 doz to keep temps/humidity stable, and well, you know where that leads. Ebay. So, I guess I'll just try to keep putting it off too. Can't wait until Feb when all of us are back, and talking of our eggs baking away.... Never thought I'd miss winter.

LOL

I have eggs due Saturday in the bator now. Some of them jumped the gun and pipped before I even had them in lockdown. One zipped and pushed its head out and I noticed the darn bird hadn't even absorbed its yolk! So I pushed her rear end back into her shell and put her in a Ziploc bag with a wet paper towel to keep her yolk moist. Sigh, hoping she makes it.

Wouldn't she suffocate if she has already pipped the shell?

Another option is put her in egg, wrap with damp gauze, and tape with med tape.

If you look back here in April and May, you'll find some pic and add'l info on this.  Temps running a bit high, eh?

Yeah, I caught my temp running high a few days ago, like 102. Was probably like that for 24 hours.

No, I cut a corner off the bag and slid her head out so she can breathe. Here's a picture of the little bugger:

I just checked her and she's almost got it all the way absorbed now. Not long till I can let her out of the bag, which is good because she is LOUD. She wants out.
