Hello everybody. I have been busy this morning with babies and older ducks. The temps are dropping here so I wanted to get the outside ducks taken care of first. Filled their kiddie pool so they could take a bath before the cold comes in, cleaned their kennel and house out real good. The Cayuga is still laying her eggs in the Buff's nest. They have about 20 eggs in one nest between the two of them. I told hubby I wanted to set some more eggs and he didn't sound too happy about it. I want to see if Jonny can produce beautiful babies before I kick his butt to the curb. I had all the babies out last night and they were climbing in my hair, trying to take my earrings outs, biting at my nose ring and all of a sudden hubby grabs one (Ralpie) and starts playing with him. then he gives that one back from me and takes Ming Mei, who he wants to call squishie, I said no way, but he played with him for quite a while. When it was time to put them up, he took them all and put them away. He likes them but doesn't want to admit it. Babies got a bath today and Ralpie, Ming Mei and Zoro (the one with the stripes on the side of the face) can swim underwater now. It is so fun watching them swim. Well I have to get wrapping presents for my grandson so I can get them off in the mail.

I think squishy is a cute name. If I get any ducklings from the eggs I set I will have a squishy.
I shall name him squishy, and he shall be mine, he shall be my squishy

in the duck food, very little,
plus the cracked corn and a little bit of oats (like uncooked oatmeal)

the oats and horse feed were just added this week.

ud think i was trying to poisin the spoiled rotten brats!

youd think theyd like getting a little treat, no not them.
if its not GREEN peppers & UNFROZEN peas. and maybe a little lettuce. im treated like i am trying to kill them.
ungrateful & spoiled may be understatements:rant

My ducks and chickens favorite food is fermented oatmeal with frozen peas warmed in the microwave then add couple scoops of feed to it and mix real good. They make the biggest mess but love it. Sometimes I add plain yogurt to it all too. Yummy! I cook my babies their breakfast and give my dh cereal.
