I have a new gosling and a second one on the way. But when I went to take the first one out of the hatcher, I noticed it was cold to the touch. Lovely Incukit for Tabletops from Incubator Warehouse took a dump on me. They've been emailed.

I'm just glad I caught it and that I didn't find cooked goslings.

Got a drake in the infirmary with an eye infection.

Got a stargazing duckling. Late run to Fred Meyer.

It's my birthday. At least I've had to snuggle lots of birdies today.

Quote: welllll happy birthday! good thing you caught that, my babies are done....have 8 altogether... all of them got out on their own except the first one and the last two...one died in the shell after pipping, i knew he was getting a little weaker vocally but i was working on a breach baby. had to chip almost all of the shell away to find his face..poor little guy. i hate it that i lost one so late i just couldn't get to him in time....i'm exhausted tho....

Hello I am new to the duck scene and very excited.. I do wish I had found this link sooner because I have had difficulty in finding information on hatching ducks.. I have 11 Blue Swedish Ducks in the incubator, and due to go into lockdown May 23.. so excited.. I am hoping I have done things correctly.. The gentleman I received the eggs from told me he does not mist and I seem to be reading differently.. Should I mist them now????? Humidity is holding around 50,,, Any information would be appreciated Thank you...

Yayyyyyyyyyyy! So happy for you! Two of my runners looked the brown in the middle and they are just feathering out and look like female mallard colouring. But could turn out different with calls. I know yellow goes white!

Adorable! I am not too great at duckling colors, but the top one looks ancona marked to me.

Some people mist, some people don't. I haven't noticed a difference in how many hatch/develop when I mist vs when I don't so I no long.er mist, but it wouldn't hurt to mist them either. Good luck with your hatch!

I am trying to get my incubator winding down and shut off. My ducks are laying pretty great, and my goose is still laying an egg every other day. Would anyone on here like any eggs? I can do a few batches of 6-8 call eggs and maybe a goose egg or 2 if she keeps going if anyone wants any, just pay shipping. The geese are mixed, mostly embden. The calls are mostly black magpies but my gray pied girl is laying too, so could be black bibbed, magpie, ancona, white, gray pied, gray, etc. Pet quality, but cute.
