Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

LOL, we are a day ahead. So it'll be Christmas here in 46 minutes. But I expect I'll be asleep before then. The international date line runs down the Pacific ocean. The Earth revolves towards the East. Anyway, whatever, we hit Christmas a bit before you.

Been to dinner at a friend's house. He is a chef. We had guinea fowl. It was excellent. I'm full now. Must sleep.

Merry Christmas, everyone! Hope you have an absolutely wonderful day.

I want a pair of whethers I think so I don't need to worry about that. I know they don't like grass, they prefer to browse. The next door goat did a great job, we never had to clear that side of the fence while he was there. I still have a lot more research to do before I decide, and a ton of fence to reinforce first too.

One of these days though....

I want to milk them. What a good one for milking? (This is way in the future.)

nubians.
alpine
saunins (sp?)
togenburgs (sp?)
those are prolly the most common dairy goats.
my personal favorites are nubians bcuz they come in the biggest color range and are very sweet. alpines are also good.
no real experience with the other 2.

Have you ever seen that show "The Fabulous Beakman's" or whatever it's called. That's totally random.
Wondering what kind of goats they have. (Good show if you like goats)

Thanks for that info!
