Yay for hatch day! I'm kinda getting the hatch itch myself, but I'm going to stick to hatching my own eggs. I've got lavander orphingtons coming next month, and I need to hatch more molted javas and geese and ancona ducks.

I have read most of these post and learned a ton and today is hatch day for us. We are newbies and this is our first hatch and just a few minutes ago our first duckling popped out. How long do we leave him in the bator before removing him?
I have crappy hatches below 77% at hatch time. I only grab them out once a day, hatch may stretch over two days. Of course, I can up the humidity in my hatching room pretty easily.I personally grab them out double quick every time there are two, since they seem to want to run around and roll eggs on me. I also add a new super soaked sponge (warm water) every time. Its NOT ideal, but it works for me. (Oh, I tend to have humidiy around 80%, and I think that afford me a tiny margin)
I'm doing well. Ready for the weekend, but that's normal. Tuesday and my thighs already hurt. The joys of farming. How is everyone?
Quote: I'm all right. Been real tired, I was sick for several weeks before seing the doctor, and it's been a slow recovery. I'm ready for springtime! Me and the birds are all tired of water being frozen, and I'm tired of going to milk in the darn cold! (milk rooms heated, but not the barn where the goats are)
Thank you, after they all hatch how long do I leave them in before taking them out? I know they need to dry but what is the ideal time? This is a great website so glad I found you guys. I have learned so much about my duckies on here.
