Halloween probally thinks he went to heaven.... toys and a GIRL

Lol, the geese really do like the toys. They think the swings are their toys, and there are several other ones the kids have outgrown I leave out in the yard because they play with them. I'm actually taking some of the kids toys when I go through their room and hanging them in the coop for some entertainment for them.

Well, I talked myself into my first geese. I'll be getting two roman tufted goslings on the 21st. Anyone have any tips for me? Like how to keep the mess down in the brooder, etc. I've ordered one female and one straight run, since I couldn't decide if I wanted a pair or two females. I'll just see what happens!

i candled my eggs last night (day 6) and it looks like
11 of 12 are growing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats, bakin!!!!! We can be hatch buddies, as I have goose eggs growing on day 8.

I have goose eggs in too, but we're day 4. Seems like longer with all the hand-turning.
Pretty soon we'll all have little fuzzies running around. I have 7 eggs growing in my Brinsea Mini. Hatch day is the 22nd, I think. I love that little incubator. I ordered the Octagon 20 for my goose eggs, I hope I like that one just as well.
My next hatch day is the 16th.
I have lockdown on March 24 for my sebastopol eggs. :D I've also traded some eggs for blue eggs and some lovely saddleback sebbies.

I got my first Seb egg today...and I stepped on it! I'm so irritated with myself for walking in their pen in the dark.

I'm so tired tonight that I don't even know when my hatch days are. Glad I write that stuff down.

Yay, for the egg, too bad about stepping on it. I stepped on my goose's egg. Silly girl buried in in a different spot than usual, but luckily she buried it deep and I didn't hurt it.

Congrats on getting geese. I wanted roman tufted, didn't end up with them but fell in love with the geese I did get. My best tip is to get them outside as soon as possible and as much as possible. They love the grass, it's good for them, and that's less time in the brooder making messes, lol.

I just got back and settled in from meeting up with QJ earlier. I gave her the sfh chicks I'd hatched, and got hubby some turkens. The ugly little things are pretty cute, in their own way, lol. Hubby likes the weird chickens though, so he's happy and I'll have a new layer or two this fall since mine are getting older.

I'm not sure if I could get into naked necks. Funny little things!

They are so silly looking it is hard to take them seriously, the first time I saw them I thought it was a prank and someone had shaved their necks :lol
