I just looked out and my dog is sleeping where the owl landed. I wonder if she senses it. That, or she wants to eat them too. Everything always wantin' to eat my chickens/ducks.

Silver Appleyards would be 28 days right? I just assumed they would be. I like the 25 day mallards better!

I tried to fix my LG incubator to have one for lockdown, but I think the fan is toast. I was hoping for a loose connection. Oh well.

I should probably get my brooder ready this week! I'm going to have some little wynnies to put in there! I'm so excited about them. I may actually have one lone lavender that made it. I doubt it, but I'm leaving it in there anyway. I can't tell if the chick is still alive in there or not.

Thanks, those are pretty. I think I'm waiting for the other seller to relist though. I really like her birds and she had wonderful feedback. Silkies are seasonal, if I can not hurry I'll probably get a better deal, higher hatch rate, more variety to pick from, etc.

Yes, that's why I've slowed down a touch. I need to see what's going to make it to hatch. Also, need room for my Anconas. I found a breeder with lavenders. So I'm going to order some eggs.
