Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

Miss Utah I have Cayuga's, & white Chinese Geese for that side
&
Turkeys, Chickens, Chukars, & Guineas (but 5 guineas are going over the rainbow pond this weekend shhh)

Sorry I've been a bit absent - I've been working like a slave on my duck pen. And the ducks are in it now. They slept there last night. I've still got to:
- paint it
- add a shelf to store their food etc
- add in the stock trough that will be there pond (it's ordered but not arrived yet)

At the moment it has litter in it - sugar cane mulch. I'll see how that goes as a flooring material. It's quite a thick layer. I can turn it over with a cultivator each morning. I'm very keen to see how it works out.

Here are some pics! Sorry that the first one is a bit washed out - I took it this morning and the sun got in the way.

It's beautiful! And it looks like it should easily keep out any whatever raccoon type things you have there that like to snack on ducks.

OMG! I think I'm drooling! I love it! and your ducks have such pretty, neat bibs!
