If we ever have an egg cracked that we really want a shot at hatching I use a white crayon and melt the tip and gentely rub across the crack.

so just about the same as beeswax.
im not gettin rid of this egg lol.
its 1 of 2 of my muscovy eggs that are veining.
i hope some of the pekin eggs start veining .
2 eggs doesnt sound like very good odds.

qj sounds like you have quite a variety cookin in there

the lady i got my eggs from said she has eggs under a duck, so if none of mine hatch she will give me ducklings. =)
shes such a nice lady .

i candle them every morning lol.
my flashlight is good enough that i just turn the light off and place the light against the egg without moving it.
im amazed at the progress from day 2 day .
