Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

Speaking of ducks, there are several ponds where I work and there are lots of wild ducks. From what I understand, as soon as the baby ducks hatch and go in the ponds, the fish eat them. I never see any baby ducks.

If I were to find some duck eggs and put them in my bator, would the babies be "wild as march hares", or would they be somewhat tame if hand raised? I think most are mallards, although there are some that have more white on them.

My DH says "NO DUCKS", but . . . . . just curious.

Nope, the babies would be as tame as any other duck if hand raised.
