Yes humidity down for a could of days can help, yes start a post in the goose thread and seek Pete's help.

Taking eggs from wild duck nests is highly illegal. Migratory birds require permits to keep them, and you are not permitted to take birds or eggs from the wild.

Ok besides Still, who else is going into lockdown?

Just set all of the duck eggs yesterday, filled an entire shelf in the cabinet. Half the goose rack is filled now too. Will keep setting the Silver Appleyard eggs until I confirm fertility then they go up for sale. Currently we have the following laying:

Khaki Cambells - available
Silver Appleyards - checking fertility
Buff Orpington ducks - available
Rouens - available, but flock is sold and leaving soon
Call Ducks - available
African geese - available
Sebastopol geese - setting all eggs
Easter Egger chickens - available

All others are either not yet in season (waterfowl) or are too young yet to be laying or to set eggs from.

I would be interested in purchasing some of your Buffs, call ducks, and silver applyards and your Easter Egger chickens. I would want probably about 6-10 of each. If you could PM me a quotefor those it would be great!! Thanks.

I am proud that all the new people have read the entire posts. I am amazed that our conversations were so exciting to keep you all intrigued. We have all had our highs and lows on here in hatching and in our personal lives. And I have to say our family here is a fantastic group of people and I am proud to call you all my family. Even though we have never met, we all have talked about our kids and spouses as though we were talking to our best friends. I love it.

I got your email thanks. I am lazy though and still in bed so I need to get up and mark on the calendar and see when they would hatch if I bought them now or if I should wait and get them so I can have them fir the Easter Egg Hatch. Right now my last hatch in the incubators should be around March 3. All of thosehatch out around 28 days right?

With out a doubt Ancona ducks. They come in black and white, chocolate and white, blue and white, silver and white, lavender and white and Tri color. They each have their own unique spots like a paint horse.

I love ducks. So far, the commen peking is my favorite. I want some prettier ducks though. Mine are all brown or whtie. Just like the quail. And the brown turkey. Hmm.... maybe I need something in nice shade of PINK!!

Whats the prettiest duck that is a farm duck? Call ducks and wood ducks don't count here.

I didn't read all the posts from the beginning of thread on.... I'm with Cocoa... was wanting to poke my eye with a sharp stick after say page 50? lol More power to the new faces! I guess it is one way to pass time during that long 28 day wait.
