I'm getting the LG ready now.. Making sure it's holding steady and trying to get the humidity down a little, then I'm moving them in to lockdown. I'm so excited to have duckies again! (babies)

I'm thinking of moving everybody out of the hovabator and put them in the LG to hatch too. I have the silky chickens and some SA and Cayugas in the LG now cause they don't hatch until later on. But I need to check the humidity as I haven't really been watching it in there so much. So I guess I should get working on that huh?

Can a buy some chicks or (better) eggs from you for silkies? I wanted black, but havn't had much look. The buy-trade-sell thing is still a little hard for me to naviagte. Besides, Id rather buy from a kindred spirit.

Silkies are so sweet, and such extremely excellent mamas. The one I had for a few years hatched a lot of duck babies for me. If I can work out the pic thing, I think I will put the pic of her on top of 3 white pekings (which were collectively BIGGER than her) for my official pic. Its WAY CUTE!! She just hated it when they went into my fish pond, though!!! Man was she upset!

The silky chickens that I have, I bought the eggs. I don't have any myself. I wish I did though. Hubby said I can't have chickens. I don't know why, but he don't want chickens. I want to keep fluffy though, She is a sweetheart.

I got an email about my drake today. The lady has a fenced in pond and black swans! Now those would be really neat to have.... Anyway, does anyone know if ducks and swans get along? If this lady is for real, and wants him I may sell her my bigger ducklings too if she wants them. It sounds like she has a duckie dream home.

That's great! The ducks will stay clear of the swans. That duckie hottie guy I sold my mallards too raises swans too.

And swans are a pricey bird, so you know she's gonna have a stellar set-up.

Peaches a lilac goose, and McGraw a grey gander who is a buff gene carrier.

And swans are a pricey bird, so you know she's gonna have a stellar set-up.

That's why I told her I'd sell her the ducklings too. I want to keep the little cuties, but if she wants them it gives me more room and they go somewhere they'll be happy.
